Imagine not feeling welcomed at church. As some of the first people worshippers encounter on a Sunday, greeters have the chance to be sure everyone feels welcome. After long weeks at work and stressful car rides with children, greeters have the opportunity to change someone’s day by offering a simple smile and a “welcome home.” A greeter’s personality should be outgoing. Greeters should ensure there are no questions in anyone’s minds as to where they need to go in the building. They must also be very good at recognizing faces and remembering names.
